The Green Room (Summer 2005)
I've been listening to his mix over and over again, and just can't get enough
of it !! It's simply touching me to the deepest of my heart... And such an
ending, it's DIVINE, this music is just feeding my soul every time i put it
on...
DJ River, the way you selected these songs, and you mixed them, I never heard
anything like this before ... I almost had tears of hapiness at some
moments...
Anyone who once had a bad day, or problems in his life should listen to this
mix, it's the best medicine ! And for a bit more than an hour, take you to a
place where your problems simply don't exist ! That's the feeling it gives me
everytime i listen any of your mixes ... Traveling to other dimensions ...

What an utterly fantastic compilation! I'm a huge fan of this genre, and of
the many downtempo DJ mixes I've heard on DI this is by far my favorite. The
mood and mixing are A+ through the entire piece.. if there was ever a perfect
mix, this is it. 10+ indeed.

Wow. What a great mix. Sophisticated, cerebral, visceral, relaxing, stimulating. Great driving mix. Blends like silk...gotta watch the track numbers to know we're onto the next one, or you'll miss it. River, I can see that it takes a very long time to find pieces that blend so well. I was amazed hearing this mix for the first time.. I'm listening to a lot of electronic music like Groove armada, gusgus, autechre, fisherspooner, thievery corporation etc and a lot of mixes too from breezeblock etc..but this mix really blew my mind! the flow,smooth style as well as the choice of tracks works really on my imagination! I will play it a lot when paintings walls.

This is such a restful peace of work.. I've had a busy weekend, and the first thing I did on my (free) sunday eve was checking River's site, and so I saw this mix. Speaking of the mix, it is... awesome. This is the music to listen to every day, to get energy and inspiration from, and have a nice mood all day long. Every track is in its place, well selected and melodic, posessing its own mood. Dj River shows his outstanding taste once again.

This has to be the tightest mix Ive heard yet. I LOVE IT. This guy never lets me down. The beats are pure, the flow is wonderful. This is definitely a TRUE downtempo mix. Most definitely distinctive, soft and empyreal. The Green Room begins in an almost playful manner, but ends with a rich, passionate sunset of beautiful voices. Unwittingly judicious, DJ River does not request any of his listeners to simply relax while experiencing this session, he invites them to emerse themselves completely. Like a crisp splash of lime in a cold beverage The Green Room will tantalize and satisfiy all who wish to experience true chillout lounge. The summer sun may be hot, but The Green Room is perfectly cool.

Great new compilation album that really takes a nice journey through some relaxing places. A bit more toned down than the Orange Room, and it fills a space somewhere between the ambient chill mixes by DJRiver and the other chill-out albums out there (Euphoria).
The first half of the album eases into some nice flavors, where the 2nd half of the album introduces some more unique sounds and vocals.
In all, a very satisfying effort that never gets too ambient nor too beaty or driven, but rather resonates nicely between mellow and paced. A super addition to the already outstanding compilation archives by DJRiver.
