The Blue Room (Spring 2006)

All the "Room" series are superb, but for me the Blue Room really stands out due to quality of the music and the sequencing, in particular the sequence of "Don't Give Up" and "La Francaise" is inspired. This is a mix you can't fail to enjoy!

As a DJ myself I find this set wonderfully mixed, perfectly pitched, and every track seems to fit with the other. Signature Dj River touches here and there. Ubung macht denn meister!

This is a great mix. I think this and The Green Room are the best of the series. Totally chilled. Smooth transitions and flow, but the last track Addio seemed a bit out of place for the entire mix - great song though.

Great stuff, i love it!
Only one problem - all the tracks are put together in one .mp3 file, it would be better to be able to download individual .mp3 files for each track.

What nice moods that comes to my mind when I listen to this album. Sitting on a chair in the water at a lovely beach with an umbrella over my shoulder and a cold beer in my hand watching the sunset on a lovely summer evening silently reflecting life - with playback device in my lap. Or sitting with nice friends after a lovely barbeque quitely solving the problems of life while the kids are running round having fun while this mix plays in the background. I hope these scenarios makes a little sense. I like this album very much. Great work River. Respekt!

I've awaited this mix for what seems like forever - at last its here ! I usually play Rivers mixes on a lazy summers evening, as the sun is going down with an ice cold glass of white wine. We are a few months from that here in the UK, but I can already feel myself melting and drooling in anticipation of summer. Give it a few listens and you will be gripped as per all the other chilled mixes. Hats off to you matey - you have pulled off another classic !!!

Yet another eloquent blend of chill just in time for the spring! This is perfect kick-back, mix a cocktail, fire up the grill, invite some friends and let the vibe work itself.

I was hoping this wouldn't be too uptempo and it's not - just enough chill and just enough beat with timely transformations in between.

(A great holdover for me until the next ambient chill mix!)

Had a thought - I just love the French track - ever thought of doing a comp with just French - songs and spoken - with a selection of instrumental? Chill Out France with your mixing would be staggering! Chill Out Italy, and Spain too?? These are beautiful languages if you can find the music. Impertinent to ask I know, but it was only a thought, a dream...
