It's been a while since I've visited your site and to my delight found two AC mixes that I hadn't yet heard. For me, in the interim I've been on my own musical journey. A recent email from you brought me back, and what a delightful rediscovery for me.

In this mix a growing maturity is evident, when heard in the context of your previous AC mixes (all of which are beautiful in themselves). This mix has a very deep, soulful feel - at times slightly melancholy, but never dark. I hear a very strong appeal to you of sounds exotic and ethnic. The rhythms and melodies that you combine in such a cohesive and flowing whole are entrancing, rich in texture and colour.

Of all the chillout compillations out there, this ranks among the best. There's a lot of fresh sounds here and the mood it sets is almost haunting, with just enough hot sauce to remind you that you're not dreaming. This mix shows a lot of maturity, especially over previous mixes. Light a candle, pray for rain and ease into some chillin' goodness!

The download is in progress! I´m very glad that i´ve found a dj who makes such wounderfull mixes. The ambient mixes are one of the best things i´ve ever heard in electronic music.
One thing is left to say, your last mix the "Purple Room" sounds a bit depressed,but its a mood every one knows and so there are some times in year/life, this sounds fit perfectly.

Pleas use more vocals (of women) and sax-lines in your mixes, that gives the mixes (for me) a nice touch.

I wish i could have been able to rate 100+/10.

Words cannot express how powerful, how beautiful, and much energy is in this mix.. This is by far the best ambient mix i have heard ever, by any dj.

Last night, as i was downloading the mix, i had a rough day, and was stressed.. But once i started playing this mix, instantly, i was in a trance and completely out of this world. I had closed my eyes, and was in another word. All the lights were off, and the mix blasting.

Every track in this mix blends, and sounds so great, extremely crisp quality, i absolutely love the vocals, intrumentals, everything just goes so perfectly. I really do love the first few tracks.. All the other tracks i love too..

River, this is yet another accomplishment by you. You have created a beautiful mix. At this point, Ambient Chillout Mix 5 - Autumn 2005 is my favorite ambient mix :)

Some heavenly tunes, mixed in a magical atmosphere. Tears are the only way to express your feelings when you're listening to this kind of music.
Also lots of respect from my mom, father-in-law and friend, we're all in love with your style. I can't express my feelings in words.. if a talent was born, i can say you are one. So much magic and emotions cross your mind while listening to this kind of music.
I also liked the male voices in this set. I'm impressed by the fact you're always inventing some new music :) I'm living in a pretty small counrty, but i'll make them know your name.
