I used to listen chillout mixes from Red Jerry (Chilled Euphoria) for a long time. That kind of music helps me to clean my mind from routine and to start creating something new. Then I was told about dj River, as my wife downloaded almost all his site :) and ACM4 and 5 became my favorites! Beautiful, brilliant, gorgeous, mmm… (what else such adjectives I know in English?) :)
Sure, this is very scurpulous work to select and match these tracks. And those of you people, who leaves exalted comments, please bear in mind, that DJ is the final person who made the masterpiece, yet there are a lot of artists, who composed and performed all of that tracks, and they deserve a lot of thanks too!

I love all your mixes, but ACM 4 is, in my opinion, the best of the best. I've listened to this mix (literally) 100's of times and it is by far the most beautiful and resonating compilation I've ever purchased or downloaded. You have an amazing gift for finding and mixing such diverse but completely compatible tracks--I don't know how you have the time and passion to be so prolific, but PLEASE keep up the phenominal work!

I tell everyone I know about you--so you're getting quite a following in Colorado, USA---and I even keep a half-dozen copies in the car to give to friends when they comment on how beautiful the mix is!

Well, one night i was listening to Digitally Imported, and well, DJ river comes up. Just so happens i dig this style of music.. I love you choice in artists and collaberation of their tracks. Your mixing creates bliss and only improves on the original song. Im glad i have found your site, your work, your creations. They have opened me up in many ways. Also good that you have created this perfect harmony of music because my gf digs it too :)) I am very seriously considering purchasing all of your Ambient Chillout Mix's plus anything else i like here :)

Please, do not stop what you do. I have a great deal of respect for Dj's, and alot of respect for you. This is truely your talent, and you will always be on the top of my list when it comes to artists :))

You really need to take these mixes in context with one another. Don't get me wrong; they stand alone beautifully. But it's like listening to one Beethoven symphony without knowing anything about the others.
I only discovered DJ River yesterday, and I've listened to ACM3 at least 5 times since. It has a deep, bitter-sweet yearning quality. And now I've just finished ACM4; I would describe it as having a cool, romantic, and sensual nature. As usual, the mix seamlessly blends the musical atmospheres. Both mixes are positively gorgeous, timeless, and ethereal.
It is through the selection of music and skill in the mixes that we glimpse a bit of the DJ's mind. Thanks again, River, for letting us in; it's a magnificent place.

Well...there is just one word for this mix...unbelievable. I have hundreds and hundreds of mixes, live sets, CDs, you name it...and this is my favorite of them all.
The mixing is flawless, to the point where you don't realize a new track has started until after it has been going for a few minutes.

The song selection is also fantastic, with one outstanding track after another, my favorite being the 3rd track (ATB - Autumn Leaves). This track is just plain brilliant, and I've never heard it before...but it's worth the download just for this song.
There are some other well known, excellent tracks in here, all fit together perfectly.
Every time I put this mix on, people comment on it and want to know what CD it is...even non-house fans.
If you like chill tunes and appreciate mixing that is perfection itself, you'll love this mix.
