It is hard to be perfect, but i have to admit that you music just goes
perfect with every kind of mood.
I found your "Chicane Anthology Vol 1" first, then lucky to find your
offical website. You are A REAL genius !!!!!!!!!!!!!! i am a big fan of
House, Trance, Lounge and Chill Out fan. i have also heard a lot mixed by

Thanks for sharing your creations, I think that your mixes have an uplifting
message, and they have elevated my mood many times. I wish you much

We have been unable to
get our hands on stuff that reaches the right quality... well all that has
now changed, because we have found DJ RIVER. His sets are some of the most
accomplished sounding of all styles that we have come across on our 2 years
on the net. This man knows his music! We have his latest 2 volumes in his
"AMBIENT CHILLOUT" series. Both are spiritual trips with amazing tunage
onboard, all seamlessly put together. OUR VERDICT: If these mixes cant
inspire you, then you have no feeling whatsoever. Through the sets he has
added in some of his own re-edits and overall you have to say that there is
a very world music feel to both.

someone would be able to create compilations such as yours (including your
remixes as well)! Hm,what can I say...they are just GREAT! I've already
downloaded all the compilations by now (excerpt the last one-Ambient chill
out no.5) and I listen them every day especially before/during going to
bed...all my friends have been asking me about these sets-where did I get
them,who made them etc. I just say to them: "This is DJ River-a king of

...I think that you redefined genres such as chill,ambient,house,dream

At the risk of sounding 'SAD' ,i am a 36 year old bloke and i feel your
mixes have made my life so much better.I know wot your thinking...he should
to grow up ,go and listen to some 80's rock or something.
I listen to your work all the time and have converted some friends of mine
at work too....people who listen to 80's rock! So all i can say is you have
a great feeling for music and can touch the hearts of even the most hardend
of people.This is a special quality in a person and i hope you never feel
like packing it all in.

on piratebay.org among a compilation of 16 tracks and I think It's a great
mix - really ... hmmm ... uplifting. It's sad that it no longer can be found

Hi again river thank's for your reply to my message 02/02/2005 02.39 i really liked that. You asked me what my experiance's was of your music. I will start with Ambient Chillout 3 Summer 2004 i downloaded this from winmx, anyway i burned it popped it into my cd player and thought what's this like after a lot of other dj mix rubbish i hit play and after the first few second's i thought this is very different heard the first track and when it blended into centre of the sun i was blown away i felt a rush of goose pimples go from my head down to my toe's and it was like that all the way through the album as soon as it finished i then tried it on headphones this took me into without being silly to another dimension and i must admit i got quite emmotional. That's just one experiance of course now i'm hooked on all your mixes , i had tried other dj mixes and it's the same old thing regardless of genre you do stick out from the crowd. Isn't it strange you go out by a cd you might find one or two track's that are good and the rest are rubbish and yet here you are doing your mixes for nothing and there is not a bad track on any of them. I have to say you have great taste in music as out of all your mixes there is something there for everybody and that's rare i think i've gone on long enough so i will say bye for now and thank's for first class sounds.

I discovered your music by chance. I was searching for the best chillout compilation, and I found Ambient Chillout 3. I listen to it pretty much constantly. I love it from beginning to end. Through it, I discovered Conjure One and learnt more about Rumi.
Now that I know I can come to your site and download all your other compilations, I am truly happy.
Your music speaks to me in a way that not even another being can. I often feel alone, lost in a sense of melancholy. Your music is so perfect that it brings me back into the light. Of course, when I'm happy, your music enlightens me just as much.

I'm not into commercial music either, and your aims of creating timeless pieces are acheived.
